| | How much does it cost?
There is a studio fee that covers the use of all our paints, materials, stamps, stencils, idea books, glazing and firing. It is a flat fee per person not per piece painted. In other words, you can paint as many pieces as you want in one sitting for one studio fee.
$6/per person (plus price of pottery)
While other studios claim "no studio fee" or a lesser studio fee, we're happy to stand behind our pricing. If your bill at one of our competitors is less than what you pay at Painted By U for the same item (including studio fee), we're happy to comp your studio fee the next time you visit with us. Just be sure to bring a receipt as proof of purchase.
Our pottery prices range as low as $3 to $50+...however, the average piece usually falls in the $10-20 range.

| | But I'm not creative!
We've heard that one a million times! The good news is that no artistic ability is required!...only a willingness to have fun! We have so many ways to spark your creativity you won't be able to satisfy your artistic side with one piece! Painted By U offers a myriad of ways to help you create an unforgettable piece of art. Whether it's with stamps, stencils, contact paper or even tape...we will teach you to cheat! :)

| | May I bring food and drinks?
Yes!! We don't mind at all if you bring food into the studio, just be mindful to not touch any pottery until you have washed your hands

| | Are your paints washable?
Yes! All our paints are completely washable, non-toxic and lead free. They are perfectly safe for people of all ages!

| | What if I don't finish my piece in one day?
No problem! We will send your unfinished piece home with you and you will have one week to finish it before you pay another studio fee. We call this WIP (Work In Progress)

| | This sounds crazy...but about a year ago I painted a piece that I never picked up.........
We are sorry, but we cannot hold pottery that has been abandoned. We give you a 30 day courtesy period to pick up your pottery. If you need more time just let us know and we will be happy to accomodate you. Otherwise, we will consider the piece abandoned and may donate, sell or discard the piece.

| | How long does it take to paint something?
That depends entirely on you. On average, our customers spend 1-2 hours painting. If you don't finish you take your piece with you and come back. You have one week to finish without re-paying your studio fee.

| | Do I need to make a reservation?
Not at all! If you are coming with a group of 8 or more, we would appreciate a call just so we know you're coming but it isn't necessary. If you wish to use the party room, however, you MUST reserve it.

| | Can I eat off of these dishes? Are they dishwasher safe?
Yes! All our paints and glazes are food safe! However, they should be handwashed to avoid possible problems over time.

| | Do you offer anything other than Pottery?
YES!! We offer glass fusion and canvas painting. These mediums require zero artistic ability and yet somehow, you always end up with a FABULOUS piece of art!
